Topshop launches …

Tophop.comAlmost twelve months in the making, the all-new Topshop.com from Poke came tip-toeing down the catwalk today. We were pretty much done in June with the design work, so it’s really nice to see it finally go live.

Not so obvious on the face of it, is that behind the new look lies a top-to-bottom re-fit of the group supply chain, fulfillment and e-commerce solutions - with old systems being updated and out-sourced services being replaced by new services managed in-house (nothing to do with Poke that bit!)

This made for one of the most complex projects i’ve ever been part of, with all kinds of inter-dependencies and communications challenges. It’s been very interesting to watch a large scale organisation like the Arcadia group move from being a procurer to provider of online service.

It’s also been fabulous to work with the very talented team at Topshop, who i’m pleased to say, are delighted with the end result.
Now this has launched, the work really begins …
